It was a total dream. Noah is such a caring actor and he would always check in with me after scenes asking me if I was comfortable or if there was something else I’d like to try… He’s truly your dream co-star to work with, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

“chuffed doesnt mean what you think it means”

it means exactly what i think it means its just some stupid word that literally has two definitions that mean the opposite thing
what the hell
This makes me really chuffed
This post is quite egregious

Well I’m nonplussed by this whole post.

goddamnit.

all of you go to hell
And you wonder why i am boggled at times
These are called contronyms! A word that is its own opposite.
Why the fuck do these exist
One theory is that the sarcastic use of the word became exceedingly prevalent and because another dictionary definition.
Are you telling me that we were such sarcastic shits it literally changed our language.

Most shows I’ve seen that mention fan fiction readers/writers portray them as kinda oddball super-geeks with no lives or social skills.
So I wanna take a moment to appreciate the fact that in Parks & Recreation, the character who writes fan fiction is the intelligent, successful, and good-looking primary love interest of the main character.
Also I want to read the full fic he wrote.
It’s only unrealistic because he said he finished it.
He’s obviously lying, so it’s very realistic.

Here we have Terry from Brooklyn Nine Nine. He’s an Absolute Unit, father, police officer, black, intelligent, kind, a main character……and writes fanfiction from The Good Wife.
B99 - breaking stereotypes all over the place.
ETA: gifset not mine, I think it’s from @msjessicaday
Note that both shows are from the same creator. Who also writes Kant fanfiction and calls it “The Good Place.”

all i want to do is write that one fic that takes people’s breath away and kinda lingers in the back of their minds. i want to write something that makes people want to make art and play with my versions of characters or in the universe i created. i want to be able to create worlds that feel real enough to walk into and write lines that stick with people until they forget where exactly they heard it because it lives in their bones now.

When you work at Lush and customer comes in and bites the soap because they think it’s cheese
this happens way more frequently than you think, i assure you
Well if you frickers stopped literally presenting soap as deli food maybe it wouldnt happen?
who goes into a bath store and thinks something covered in glitter is cheese
who goes to the store and just takes a bite from the cheese

the fear men instill in women by virtue of existing in their vicinity is something men, especially white men, need to be aware of.
You could think you’re the nicest guy in the world but a woman sees you as a threat. Because you are! You are one. You starting a conversation on the train with a woman isn’t “being friendly”. It is trapping her in an interaction she cannot leave of her own consent out of fear of retaliation. You asking where she’s headed isn’t “small talk”. It is invasive and makes her fear for her safety by being followed. Your presence forces women to consider safety before comfort or agency. Be conscious of that when you interact with women in public space.
@ all the men in the comments on this post angrily protesting against this — consider… you might be who this post is about

I’m just a dumb bitch… standing in front of a romcom… asking it to fill the void in my life with somewhat unattainable representations of romantic love

I maintain that “she’s a hero, you see. she’s not like us” is one of the most telling lines about Giles’ characterization in the entire series.
#also this is a tiny little thing #and it holds barely any significence #but to me it’s huge: #Giles puts his glasses on just before he suffocates Ben #He always takes his glasses off for the hard things the disgusting things the bad things #he always takes his glasses off so he doesn’t have to see or face what is going on around him in full focus # he can ignore the horribleness of certain things if it’s fuzzy #but not this one #not this time #and I think that says a lot about Giles too (via ladyknightradiant)
#giles does what needs to be done #he doesn’t want buffy to sacrifice that sort of integrity but he’ll do it because you know he’s probably done it before #he won’t mind coloring his soul a little darker for the sake of hers or the world’s #giiiiiiiiiiles D: (via the-elusive-ollie)
#When this happened I was simultaneously like #GILES NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO #and also #wow that is so spot on for his character I can’t even #And this is where he continually brushes up against Buffy #She will never condone killing for the greater good #And Giles admires that #but also feels that it is foolish #and that it is his duty to act as this kind of protector for her and for the world#this is where the Watcher comes out in Giles the most I think #guh (via 0tterp0p)
This is how you do a good character doing a necessary but morally wrong thing correcly..
You don’t pretend it’s right to do it.
Giles has done a lot of bad shit in his life, caused death and pain and suffering through ignorance, rebellion, and so on. He makes the choice over and over, for Buffy’s sake, to make himself darker and darker because it saves a young woman who he loves and sees as a daughter and whom he is responsible for. Like any father that loves his child, he will take every ounce of suffering unto himself just to spare her a single moment of doubt. He doesn’t regret his actions, only the necessity of them.

I think a lot about an episode of Finding Bigfoot where they played whale noises because they said a curious Bigfoot might come check it out and they were just out in god knows where The Woods Blvd. And they were like “these whale noises can be heard for a couple'a miles”
And I was just losing my mind thinking about the many times I’ve camped alone in the woods and how if I were just sitting around the campfire and through the usual din of coyotes and crickets I heard the slow and steady and distinct rise of whale calls
I’d go absolutely apeshit NOTHING would be scarier
